Mesh Network Rapid Prototyping Kit from Luxoft Labs Sensors Express (bi-weekly e-newsletter from Sensors magazine) presented MeshNetics Developer Kit from Luxoft Labs that enables you to develop, prototype, and test a mesh network node and contains all necessary tools. Read more MeshNetics-enabled applications presented by Luxoft Labs at WiCon Americas Luxoft Labs presented at Wireless Connectivity Americas conference and Expo on November 9th and 10th, 2004 in Santa Clara, California. MeshNetics(TM) technology was introduced along the line of the discussion on how technologies can deliver a new class of applications for Building Automation, HVAC, Energy, Transportation and Industrial Automation. Read more New wireless sensor networks solution announced at M2M Europe Conference At the first European M2M Conference (held in London, UK) co-located with BuilConn Europe, speakers discussed the benefits of connecting mobile assets and equipment to the Internet to improve productivity, reduce downtime and costs of ownership. Among keynote speakers were Sony Ericsson, Cisco, IBM and Harbour research. Read more Luxoft Labs has presented at RFID Europe conference in London Luxoft Labs recently participated in the RFID conference discussing new trends in RFID technology. They outlined practical applications of RFID which took it beyond identification into Anti-Theft, Real Time Location Systems, Biometrics and Wireless Sensor Networks. A battle between energy-greedy WiFi, short-distance “under-regulated” RFID and expensive GPS systems and their benefits were covered along the lines of case studies with BMW, European Theme Parks and UK Police. But more importantly the presentation gave an overview of wireless sensor networks leverage of the installed RFID infrastructure for smart container, airplane maintenance and transportation solutions. Read more Luxoft Labs participated in ZigBee stack interoperability test event Being a member of ZigBee Alliance, Luxoft Labs is involved in implementation of ZigBee stack based on IEEE 802.15.4 standard. In October 5-7, 2004, another test event (in Denver, CO, USA) has been called to check platform interoperability from different vendors. This time it gathered the following companies (Luxoft Labs included): Chipcon, CompXs, Ember, Figure8wireless, NTS, Freescale, Renesas, Samsung. Read more Luxoft Labs participated in ZigBee Alliance Quarterly Meeting The quarterly meeting of the ZigBee Alliance gave its members a chance to exchange ideas and opinions on various sensor network applications and developments. In addition to the workshops, a ZigBee Open House was arranged on August 18. The event provided a venue for ZigBee Alliance member companies to demonstrate their products and solutions. Luxoft Labs demoed its MeshNetics Developer Kit.
