Read more Introducing Industry First Low-Power Drop-In Module “Introducing Industry First Low-Power Drop-In Module” - At the ZigBee Open House in Chicago, IL on September 14, 2005, Luxoft Labs will introduce its latest development – the industry first low-power drop-in module that contains the MCU and the RF-Transceiver. The new compact (only 3cm x 1.5cm / 1.2” x 0.6”) design is based on the Texas Instruments MSP430 ultra-low-power microcontroller and Chipcon CC2420 ZigBee-ready RF-Transceiver. “The module’s exceptionally low power consumption may nearly double the node’s battery life. On top of that you can use the cheaper batteries, further cutting the maintenance costs,” says Alexey Rybakov, the Marketing Director of Luxoft Labs.
