Introducing Industry First Low-Power Drop-In Module
14.09.2005
This drop-in module is first in a series of Quick-Start hardware components that Luxoft Labs is developing. They are designed to help OEM’s and system integrators simplify the wireless network development and testing, cut costs and speed up time-to-market. The drop-in module has a number of features that make it easier to use and help it to stand out from the competition: Unique Silicon Number: Each module comes with an on-board unique 48-bit silicon number. Having this unique number eliminates numerous programming steps and it doubles as RFID. Voltage Supervisor: It monitors the voltage and generates Reset signal when necessary to guarantee the system’s optimum performance. DC-DC Converter: The converter accepts the DC input in a range 1.8 – 4.5V and produces a solid 3.3V DC output. High Resistance To Electromagnetic Interference: The module can work under tougher conditions thanks to its design with 16MHz synchronization circuit for both microcontroller and RF-transceiver clocking. Chip Antenna Set On A Metal Surface: Using a chip antenna that can be set on a metal surface simplifies the assembly process and frees valuable motherboard ‘real-estate’. Along with the flexible ZigBee stack software, the new drop-in module fits into Luxoft Labs strategy of offering products and services that help its customers to cut time-to-market dramatically
